A new health and wellness business is coming to Scottsdale.

Modern Acupuncture will open it’s first location as early as January of next year, offering services using the alternative form of medicine which has increased in popularity over the past decade.

There has been an ongoing debate over the health benefits of acupuncture, with some doctors feeling more strongly than others about the practice, which is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Health benefits can include pain relief, decrease in nausea and alleviating headaches.

By 2020, there are expected to be more than 150 Modern Acupuncture franchise locations in operation. ACU Development LLC is a Scottsdale-based company that is franchising the Modern Acupuncture concept and currently working on developing 25 regional locations throughout Arizona and Las Vegas.

Modern Acupuncture will aim to offer customers a selection of health and cosmetic benefits of acupuncture treatments in a relaxing, retreat-like setting, appealing to both tourists and locals in Scottsdale.
