Mesa High School Earns Accolades For Yearbook

A Mesa school is proudly celebrating their award-winning yearbook.

Pinnacle is the yearbook for students and staff at Red Mountain High School. This year was extra special year as the publication has been recognized for excellence and included in the 2018 Jostens Look Book. This collection highlights the top yearbook designs and the best overall coverage. The most amazing yearbooks and their unique themes, creative covers, captivating copy and phenomenal photography made the cut.

Pinnacle was honored for its fantastic features and relevant recaps that summed up another fantastic year at Red Mountain High. Yearbook adviser Jan Lemon-Saquella helped Editor-in-Chiefs Stella Proudfit and Alana Ramirez put it all together.

The Pinnacle staff have reason to be proud- theirs was just one of 413 yearbooks chosen from approximately 2,000 submissions. The judges panel was made up of award-winning journalists and yearbook advisors.

The Red Mountain yearbook staff were gifted with a copy of this year’s Look Book and a certificate from Jostens to honor their fantastic achievement.

This isn’t the first time the yearbook, now in its 30th year of publication, has received accolades. In 2016 and 2017, Red Mountain received a first place finish for general excellence in the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association contest for excellence in journalism.
