Whitestone REIT announces the return of the Merriment on Market Street celebration at DC Ranch on December 1st. A dazzling tree lighting, visits with Santa, Frosty and other holiday characters plus joyful music, delicious hot cocoa and holiday festivities combine to create a memorable night for all ages.
This third annual event includes an evening of music and merriment for the whole family. Copper Ridge Middle School’s Blazer Band, Copper Ridge String Orchestra, Copper Ridge Musical Theater, and Orffeans will all be performing to the delight of the entire crowd. Strolling carolers will serenade guests with traditional holiday melodies. Enjoy a complimentary cup of hot cocoa (and marshmallows) while walking along the tree-lined streets beneath a canopy of twinkling holiday lights.
Market Street Restaurants will provide food samples and beverages, while retailers host arts & crafts stations, share treats, entertainment, giveaways and more. Children of all ages will delight in seeing Frosty the Snowman and lighted gingerbread men on stilts throughout the evening. There’s a surprise around every corner!
Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. and culminate with the Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet Santa as he will be strolling the entire center throughout the event. Free family photos will be taken in front of the Plaza Tree.
