It is an exciting day for Javelina, one of Phoenix’s leading branding and marketing firms.
The company named Catherine Alonzo as it’s new Chief Executive Officer.
In 2012, Alonzo co-founded the marketing firm with political veterans Bill Scheel and David Waid. For the past five years, she has been dedicated to growing Javelina into a leading firm in the valley.
“It’s an honor to lead our passionate and driven team, but the largest privilege is working alongside our incredible clients to change lives on a daily basis,” Alonzo said in a press release. “Now more than ever, the Javelina team is ready to bring our vision of the world to life, where the most important causes and campaigns are experienced.”
Since it’s inception, Javelina has doubled in size, having worked with notable clients and campaigns, including Prop 206 minimum wage, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, numerous city council members Equality Arizona and The Aspen Institute.
“Catherine has been a dynamic force in the success of our firm,” Bill Scheel said in a press release. “Her strong leadership, devotion to clients, and creative approach to create a company rooted in strong values has set us apart. We are excited for Catherine’s accomplishments and ready to take Javelina to the next level together.”
Catherine is a recent honoree of the prestigious Athena Award and was recently selected as an “Outstanding Woman in Business” by Phoenix Business Journal.
