The community is invited to participate in a cultural celebration honoring children on Friday, April 28.
Dia de Los Ninos will kick off at 9:00 am at Hance Park in downtown Phoenix. The public is encouraged to stop by for a morning of fun, laughter and cultural awareness presented by the city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department Latino Institute.
“El Día de los Niños,” or Children’s Day, is celebrated in many countries across the globe, as communities come together to celebrate children who represent hopes and dreams and everything in between.
This has become an annual tradition in the valley, with this being the 16th year of the event. Previous events have boasted attendance figures of over 5,000 children and educators. Local organizations and exhibitors will be on hand to provide enriching entertainment and interactive booths with information and resources about youth education, sports, science, games, arts and culture. There will also be giveaways at select sponsor booths!
Hance Park is located at 67 W. Culver Street in Phoenix. The event will run until 1 pm, so make sure mark your calendars and stop by to celebrate children and their contributions to the world!
