Students for a Democratic Society at Arizona State University are organizing a March for Science this upcoming Friday, April 21, starting at noon.
The community is invited to join in, regardless of whether they are a student at ASU. The march will kick off at Old Main on the Tempe Campus before participants walk the entire campus to show support for science, evidence-based policy, and scientists themselves during this changing political time.
Marchers are also pushing for ASU to divest from fossil fuels and adopt policies that implement sustainable practices and prevent climate change. They want ASU to address the fact that it’s heavily invested in fossil fuel stocks and has strong ties with Wells Fargo, a leading contributor to the DAPL.
The group hopes to inspire positive changes and improvements with their community march. For updates leading up to the march, please visit the official event page.Ā
