
Have you been the victim of crime or theft in the past few years? If so, you may want to check in with the Marana Police Department, as they are trying to return stolen items to their rightful owners.
During arrests officers have recovered hundreds of pieces of stolen property and personal belongings, from electronics and purses to pricey power tools and even handguns.

Many of those items go unclaimed and are sitting in the evidence room. In an effort to reunite these stolen goods with their owners, the department has posted photos of the items on their Facebook and Twitter pages.
If you see an item that looks like yours, keep in mind that they are going to ask for proof of ownership. That could be a receipt or a photo of you with the item. The department encourages people to save receipts and serial numbers for pricey purchases. This will make it much easier in the event of theft or robbery.
The department has discovered stolen items from across the Tucson and Marana areas. Items left unclaimed will be sold at auction or destroyed.
