Madison Camelview Elementary will be opening a 20-year-old time capsule on Monday, May 22 at 4 p.m., with a sneak peak that morning at 8:30 a.m. during the school’s PRIDE assembly in front of all current students. Jane Scott, one of the original faculty that was at Camelview 20 years ago, plus Superintendent Quinn Kellis will be on hand for the opening event.
Following the assembly, all alumni and staff who have been part of the Camelview family the past 20 years are invited to a reception from 4-5 p.m. to go through all the pieces in the time capsule, share memories, and exchange “where are they now” stories.

Madison Camelview was established 20 years ago and its first class of students wanted to commemorate the birth of their elementary school in the heart of Phoenix. The time capsule project has made a significant impact on the former students that continue to stay connected to the Madison District. Many have frequently emailed and called to find out when the time capsule would be opened so they could be part of the event.
