HRPivot is excited to announce their new name, website and address in Downtown Phoenix’s Warehouse district. Founded in 2014 as HRSelect, the owners wanted the company’s name and design elements to reflect their innovative services and forward-thinking approach to Human Resources.

When Valley entrepreneurs Taylor Bell and Paul Jorgenson met 3 years ago and began a discussion of their past HR experiences, it became clear that the pair wanted to create a company that would provide a better solution for HR. Both Taylor and Paul saw firsthand that the HR experienced by most companies was not value based, lacked metrics, and rarely had a defined strategy. While they each had previously approached HR from different angles, they saw the same challenge – that the leadership of most organizations did not have a valuable HR option.

Taylor, at the time an employment practice attorney in a Phoenix-based law firm, wanted to use his law degree and apply it for employers before the need for outside counsel arose. This method would prove to be much less expensive and improve company cultures by putting in place policies that avoid risky litigation.  Paul, previously an executive for a Phoenix-based PEO, had developed an HR solution that leveraged the strengths of an HR outsource as well as the attributes of a traditional HR professional.

Taylor and Paul set out to form a business that is disrupting the HR environment. HRPivot tackles the two most important aspects of HR – compliance and the development of the most valuable asset in the company (people). By applying the diverse skill-sets of a team of HR-related subject matter experts, they have helped start-ups to mid-sized businesses right-size their HR. They create a solid foundation based on four main principles – paperless efficiency, recruiting great talent, and keeping employees meaningfully engaged in their work, all while maintaining compliance throughout the organization.

HRPivot is dedicated to providing great HR sooner in the life-cycle of a company, rather than having to fix it later when company culture, good or bad, has been set and the key roles have been filled, perhaps not with the right people.
