| Please describe your business. | Sweetest Season Bakery Cafe is a small batch, from-scratch bakery located on Apache Blvd, next door to the iconic Dhaba restaurant.
Though situated in the India Plaza, Sweetest Season is not necessarily an ethic bakery, but regularly features both savory and sweet pastries from all over the world, adapted to make it our own! |
| What was your inspiration in starting your business? | Our journey is the journey of the American Dream. With beginnings right in the heart of Tempe we first sold our freshly baked pretzels at the Clark Park Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Our menu slowly expanded as well as our following. We opened our brick and mortar location on December 13, 2016, offering a full menu of breakfast and lunch, locally sourced coffees, inventive pastries and large catering orders. |
| What has been your hardest business challenge? | The Dhaba has such a strong presence in Tempe, it has been a challenge letting people know that Sweetest Season Bakery Cafe is another great business, located in the same plaza, offering varied cuisine. |
| Do you have a signature product or service? If so please tell us about it. | Our most popular items remain the same as those that our fans have loved from the very beginning: the “Big-Ass Blueberry Muffin”, “Salted Caramel Sauce”, “Soft Pretzel”, and newly popular, the “Classic Waffle Sandwich” has come to be a house fav. |
| Is there anything else you would like potential customers to know about your business? | Our breads, pastries, seasonings, sauces – nearly every element of the delicious food we serve is made from scratch in our bakery every day. We pride ourselves on making our foods with all natural ingredients and no preservatives! We focus on seasonal ingredients, and seek to source our ingredients locally. |
