
Flagstaff Arizona: Get in the holiday spirit with the Grand Canyon Railway! To celebrate the Christmas Season, the famed railway is offering it’s Polar Express Route, a family-friendly adventure to ‘The North Pole.’
Now through January 6th, families can enjoy a holiday celebration aboard the Grand Canyon Railway. The one-hour journey includes treats, a reading of the famous children’s story, and a visit from St. Nick.
The Polar Express story, written by Chris Van Allsburg, has served as inspiration for holiday events throughout the country. It’s a tradition here in Grand Canyon country, and every winter hundreds of special guests board the train in Williams, Arizona and head toward the “North Pole.” With hot chocolate and cookies to keep you company, it’s sure to be a memorable journey for all.
Tickets range from $18-$37, and guests will board the train at Williams Station, 233 N. Grand Canyon Blvd. The ride will take a little over an hour, with the train leaving each night at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with select days featuring a 3:30 p.m. afternoon departure as well.
