School soccer season ended on a high note for Heritage Middle School.
Both the boys and girls squads finished out the year with championship trophies. The boys took home the top honor and kept their undefeated title alive as they beat Camp Verde 5-1 in the championship match on April 27 in Chino Valley. The boys were thrilled with their perfect 12-0 record, supported by head coach Allen Foster. Throughout the season, 14 of the 18 roster players scored a goal, so it was definitely a group effort!
The girls also went undefeated for a thrilling 11-0 season. Coaches Rachel Davis and Hillary Palmer guided the girls through their great season, which ended with their 4-1 victory over Humboldt in the title match.
Both teams will enjoy their offseason and gear up for what is hopefully another successful year. For more information on the teams, please visit the official website here.
