Dog lovers, now is your chance to unite to better the lives of your furry friends and your own physical health!

Runners, athletes, and dog lovers are encouraged to lace up their shoes and join Run Flagstaff, a local running store that offers events and running programs in addition to a variety of athletic shoes and supplies.

Run Flagstaff, a constant presence in the community, has partnered with local shelter Second Chance for Animals to create a new program to help both animals and people. Through the new Running Buddy program, shelter pets waiting for their forever home get the attention, exercise and socialization they need and deserve.

Twice a week, runners will be assigned dogs to run or walk with, giving them much needed outdoor time. Participants will enjoy a jaunt around the neighborhood with dogs who relish in the chance to be outside, enjoying the fresh air!

When you join the Running Buddy program, runners can receive 10% off their headlamps and reflective gear from the Run Flagstaff store. Run Flagstaff will monitor winter weather conditions and inform participants of any changes.
