
TEMPE – Harry Mitchell has endorsed Representative Celeste Plumlee to keep her seat in the Arizona House of Representatives. Mitchell formerly represented the area in the U.S. House of Representatives and also served as Mayor of Tempe for 16 years. Mitchell’s endorsement has continued the trend of community leaders and organizations supporting Celeste’s campaign.
“Celeste Plumlee has shown herself to be a strong leader for our community and for improving the lives of all Arizonans. She has proven that she can get things done in the Republican-held legislature without compromising her ideals,” said Harry Mitchell. “I am happy to endorse her candidacy and look forward to her future accomplishments.”

Representative Celeste Plumlee is a social worker and community advocate. She is an Arizona native and lives in Tempe with her two children. Celeste has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology as well as a Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration degrees, all of which she earned at Arizona State University. She represents Legislative District 26, which includes parts of Tempe, Mesa, Phoenix, and the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community.
