Most every morning my husband wanders to his office having to pass through the bedroom of our sleeping son to get to his computer. Tussled hair, sleepy eyed, he boots up his wide screen computer and starts his day’s work. Up comes his beloved “My Local News” back end template and he starts his postings and work for the day. Love for community, love for connecting people, happenings in the small cities and townships that make a difference. With the departure of the small local papers, his passion is keeping us all knowing about what’s happening around us. This is what’s important to him. It is his driving passion. Making this venture successful, not for the financial success but simply for the love of it and for how it will impact our small communities.
It’s a running joke in our family when we are out and about and he explains his news media site to others…We give him a hard time. They say – “well, how do you make money? “ for years we rolled our eyes, not really understanding this world and trying to handle the financial demands of a busy, growing family. Our eyes have opened. They see the hard work and following. What many don’t see is how much work and effort is involved in finding people to post.. (still not sure how we make any money at all but no matter….. )
So today we as a family make our first post! Happy Birthday loving husband, Publisher of My Local News, father of Arianna, Emma and Joshua, realtor (on the side),former Vice Mayor and Councilperson of Tempe, AZ, lover of Bisbee, AZ. Seems like entrepreneurship is in your blood. Lucky for you that you have another entrepreneur for a wife😊 Your businesses are blooming and thriving, life is good. Stay healthy and take time for you!
