Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts of all abilities and skill levels are invited to participate in a guided hike on Mt. Lemmon.
On Friday, August 25, Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists will lead a 3.0 mile hike through the beautiful trees and scenery leading to the original Mt. Lemmon ski run. It’s free to join in the outdoor fun and enjoy a day in the Santa Catalina mountains overlooking Tucson. While the trail is not flat, there is little elevation gain.
The hike is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants should meet at Catalina Highway milepost 22.9 Sunset Trailhead, Tucson, Arizona, 85710 and call 1-520-749-8700 with any questions. As with any summer hike, hikers should bring lots of water to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen.
