Governor Partners With Department of Education on AP Exams

The state of Arizona is continuing to make efforts in improving the education system. Governor Doug Ducey’s Office of Education and the Arizona Department of Education have joined forces to offer partial fee subsidies to low-income students who wish to participate in Advanced Placement exams as well as International Baccalaureate exams and Cambridge International exams.

This additional funding will help bright and determined students further their education goals. The interagency agreement aids the Governor’s Achieve60AZ postsecondary attainment goal, which wants to ensure that 60 percent of working adults in the state hold a college degree or certificate by 2030.

Schools across the state will be briefed on how to access more information about the fee subsidy.
