Glendale Has A Cure For Chocoholics & Hopeless Romantics With Annual Chocolate Affaire February 3-5

Glendale will soon host the sweetest event in town. The 22nd Annual Glendale Chocolate Affaire will be a chocoholic’s dream, with chocolate and so much more in Historic Downtown Glendale for three days, Feb. 3-5. The Chocolate Affaire is presented by Arizona’s famous candy makers, Cerreta Candy Company. The candy factory will offer tours during event hours and visitors can expect to receive a free sample of their candy.

Visitors will delight in the nearly 40 chocolate purveyors, featuring confections like perennial favorite chocolate-covered strawberries and bananas, plus new flavorful additions that will include Aztec chocolate ice cream, deep-fried chocolate rocky road bacon, s’mores in a mason jar and much more.

Families with children will enjoy a variety of activities, including face-painting, carnival rides, a rock-climbing wall and more. One of the event’s most popular activities, Cerreta’s chocolate-pizza-making booth will return, as well, which is fun for all ages. There will be plenty of musical entertainment, with outstanding local talent performing throughout the festival. Over the years, the festival has become the largest gathering of national romance novelists in the Southwest. This symposium of literary romantics offers fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with authors, as well as the chance to
attend free writing workshops given by the experts.

In addition, the Chocolate Affaire’s annual Plein Air Competition will take place beginning on Saturday at 8 a.m., so attendees can watch as artists paint as the
event is taking place around them. Plein Air Painting Competition Info

Event hours are Friday 5-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
The event is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Glendale, in Murphy Park, located at 58th and Glendale avenues. Admission to the festival is free! Preferred parking is available for $10 in one of two downtown parking garages, both of which are accessible from 59th Avenue and Glenn Drive. All information from glendaleaz.com
