An interactive art display is coming to downtown Phoenix, just in time for Art Detour 29.
The Intersection is slated to officially open at the start of April, but Phoenicians can get a sneak preview at this weekend’s giant celebration of art and culture.
From 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday, March 17th, guests can check out a preview of Intersection PHX at the A.E. England Building in downtown Phoenix. While Civic Space Park is known for lighting up the night sky, viewers will get a whole different look at Phoenix with this exhibition.
On Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, the Intersection will be officially available for viewing starting at 7 pm at Civic Space Park (424 N. Central Ave.). RSVP for the interactive art experience here.
The exhibition is made possible by a collaboration between Union Digital and artists Dustin Farrell and Hector Primero. Together they created a vibrant, interactive art installation using advanced production technologies, and this temporary installation will engage the audience to create a one-of-a-kind urban experience right in the heart of the city.
Attendees can expect to see the Central Avenue storefront of the historic A.E. England building transform into a fishbowl of imagery that invites viewers to interact with the building like they never have before. The contributing artists will be on hand to discuss their creativity techniques and technologies that made their vision a reality.
