Ga. Family Returns From Vacation to Find Unwanted Surprise

A Georgia family was greeted with an unwelcome and unsettling surprise when they returned from vacation at the start of this month.

When the Henson family arrived back at their Cobb County home, they found a stranger living inside their house with the locks changed. That was when a man in a wheelchair allegedly answered the front door and told the family to leave. This individual allegedly said he lived in the home and declared it was now his.

The rightful homeowners called 911 immediately, and authorities quickly identified the man as 26-year-old Nathaniel Nuckols. He was taken into custody and charged with felonies including first-degree burglary and terroristic threats and acts, as well as a misdemeanor obstruction.

When the homeowners re-entered their home after the suspect was taken into custody, they noticed the man had made himself right at home by moving pictures, emptying drawers and eating their food. He did leave notes, thanking the owners for the key and allowing him to live there, but he made it clear the house was now his.
