In an effort to encourage a healthier 2017, the Flagstaff Public Library is hosting two free health literacy programs, and the public is invited to join and get involved and informed!
The first program will take place on Monday, January 23rd at the downtown library location (300 W. Aspen Ave.) and the other program will take place on Monday, February 6, at the Eastside Library (3000 N. Fourth Street.)
At the event, all participants will receive a First Aid kit, a digital thermometer, two books and a child’s battery powered toothbrush. The family-friendly program will cover topics such as healthy eating with a food demonstration, quitting tobacco use, communicable disease, immunization and oral health. In addition, information will be provided about accessing health information resources. Free childcare will be provided at the event for parents.
Each program is limited to 30 participants, so registration is required. You may register by calling 928-213-2380.
