Another scary near-drowning incident took place in the valley metro at the start of this week.
Officials with the Phoenix Fire Department say a four-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital on Monday afternoon, just after being pulled from a residential pool in a Phoenix neighborhood.
Officials believe the child may have been underwater for 30 to 60 seconds before being pulled out. Bystanders were reportedly performing CPR when rescue crews pulled up to the scene at the home in the area of 7th Street and Greenway Parkway.
The boy was transported to a pediatric emergency hospital, and crews reported he was awake and crying when he arrived. He is expected to be ok.
Crews did not immediately know if the pool was fenced in or not.

Please remember to always keep an eye on children and supervise them near the pool. It only takes a spilt second for them to go under and start drowning.
