The Counter allows you to customize your burger from bun to first bite. They offer you suggestions for your burger if you need a place to start. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your options you can order a crazy combination that’s already on the menu. For example, the “Red Eye” is an all natural beef burger with cheddar, tomatoes, applewood smoked bacon, a sunny side up egg and sweet sriracha on an English muffin bun. The fried pickles are also great to snack on while you wait for the main course.
2. Burger Rush- Tempe
You’ll never want to order the same thing twice at Burger Rush. The menu is expansive and covers nearly every type of burger, sandwich and melt known to mankind. It’s not just the basics, either. If you’re looking for something more on the wild side try the Ghost Pepper Burger or the Nacho Burger. Plus, they deliver!
BurgerFi recently opened its doors right next to Arizona State University’s Tempe campus. Their burgers are sure to cure the nastiest hangovers (try the Breakfast All Day Burger) or satisfy the carnivore with a conscious (the Conflicted Burger has both meat and a veggie patty). Make sure you also get an order of the “Cry and Fry” which has both onion rings and fries. The onion rings are thick cut and perfectly battered while the fries are crispy and well-seasoned so you’ll be sure to leave with a happy stomach.
4. Caveman Burgers- North Phoenix
If you’re in the area, Caveman Burgers is worth the visit. It’s tucked away in a suburban strip mall, but the burgers are anything but ordinary. It’s another custom burger joint, but you can create your burger with specialty patties like Arizona grass-fed beef or wild caught salmon filet. As for the buns, Caveman makes fresh pretzel buns daily so be sure to snag one before they sell out!
