Looking for a sweet way to get outside with the family this weekend? Don’t miss your chance to participate in the last two days of Peach Mania at Apple Annie’s Orchard.
The 18th annual celebration of Willcox peaches will take place Aug. 12 and 13 at Annie’s Fruit Orchard location on Hardy Road.
From 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., Peach Mania kicks off with an “All You Can Eat” Peaches and Pancakes breakfast for $8.99 (guests 13 and older) or $4.99 (guests 12 and under).
The event will offer free wagon rides as well as samples of peaches and peach products.
Attendees will be able to pick their own peaches while enjoying the shade of the peach orchard; or delight in decadent peach creations such as homemade peach pie and peach ice cream.
Apple-smoked burgers will be served for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The full lunch menu is available on the orchard’s website.
Apple Annie’s orchard is a family owned and operated farm established in the early 1980s. The Holcomb family originally planted 6,000 apple trees, but since, has expanded to grow fruits and vegetables on over 125 acres.
The orchard is located in the Sulphur Springs Valley at an elevation of 4300 feet, bringing warm days and cool nights– perfect for picking your own fruit, according to its website.
Throughout the year, Apple Annie’s offers a variety of events focused on other seasonal produce such as watermelon, corn, salsa and apples.
