Elected Officials Take Part in Annual Bike to Work Day: April 19th

WHAT: The 12th Annual Bike to Work Day

WHO: Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Denny Barney; Supervisors Bill Gates and Steve Gallardo; County Manager Joy Rich; Sheriff Paul Penzone; Recorder Adrian Fontes; School Superintendent Steve Watson; and, other local elected officials.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 19, 2017.  Group ride check-in begins at 6:30 AM at Park Central mall.  The group ride leaves at 7:00 AM sharp and ends at CityScape.  Elected officials will be available for interviews at CityScape following the ride until 8:30 AM.

WHERE: Park Central mall (3121 North 3rd Avenue) and CityScape (1 East Washington Street)

ABOUT THE PROJECT: Bike to Work Day is an annual collaboration between Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix to highlight the benefits of commuting via bicycle.  Anyone is welcome to join the three-mile bicycle ride from Park Central mall to CityScape.  There is a group ride and a solo ride.  Free breakfast and a commemorative t-shirt will be provided to anyone who registers.
