Duet: Partners In Health & Aging—a 36-year-old Phoenix area nonprofit that promotes health and well-being through vitally needed services to homebound adults, family caregivers, faith communities, and grandparents raising grandchildren—has secured a lease on a new office space. The 8,800 square foot space is located in Phoenix near 31st Avenue and Dunlap (10000 N. 31st Avenue, Phoenix, 85051).
To help support the significant move, Duet is launching its “Let’s Soar” fundraising campaign, with a goal of raising $250,000. The fundraising campaign will underwrite capital costs of moving and rent while providing a continuity of care that keeps up with the growing need for Duet’s vital services. Naming opportunities are available in the new office space, and Duet welcomes long-term gifts through its multiyear Vision Society.
Since its beginning, Church of the Beatitudes has generously housed Duet. Now though, the building on the church property that Duet occupies requires extensive renovations and will be demolished in the coming months. This prompted a thoughtful and collaborative search for a new office location. While Duet staff will be located in the new space, the nonprofit’s services will still take place throughout the Valley. The move is scheduled to happen in early December 2017, with an open house and ribbon cutting planned for early 2018.
“Relocating is the perfect opportunity to expand our reach and enhance service coordination in a welcoming space that showcases the collaborative and caring efforts that our supporters, community members, and—most importantly—those we serve have come to expect from Duet,” said Elizabeth Banta, executive director. “Because this is such a big opportunity for us, we want to make sure that Duet has the funds that are needed to support our move today and to help our cause grow in service into the future.”
