The 36th Annual Duet Cabaret will entertain music fans from across the Valley through the jazzy and upbeat sounds of The Swingtips from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 30 at the Omni Resort & Spa at Montelucia, 4949 E. Lincoln Drive in Scottsdale. In addition to music, the event will feature dining, dancing, cocktails and quality auction items. Duet Cabaret is one of Duet’s largest fundraisers of the year, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit’s mission of promoting health and well-being through a broad range of services to older and homebound adults who need one-on-one support. Individual tickets, a group table rate and sponsorships are available.
“Whether someone has supported Duet for years or just found out about us, the Duet Cabaret is a wonderful chance to mingle, enjoy great music and partake in an auction of delightful items,” says Elizabeth Banta, Duet executive director. “All of the proceeds from the event go directly to our mission of improving the quality of life for older adults and those who care about them throughout the Valley.”
This year’s Duet Partners of the Year Award recipient is the Avent “grandfamily.” The Duet Partners of the Year Award celebrates tremendous service and philanthropy that have brought improved health and well-being to people in need throughout the Valley. The Avent grandfamily has made it their mission to help grandchildren and the grandparents who are raising them. Honorary Chairs are Kathleen and John Graham and the Event Chair is Wilma Basnett Emerson. Rabbi Marty Scharf, former member of the Duet Board of Directors, will serve as auctioneer. Blaise Lantana, music director at KJZZ, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.
Tickets for the 36th Annual Duet Cabaret are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10; sponsorship opportunities are also available. Tickets are available online at www.duetaz.org/index.php/events/duet-cabaret/.
