VOLUNTEER
Looking for a way to help your neighbors? Duet, a nonprofit, interfaith organization that promotes health and well-being through a broad range of services, is looking for volunteers.
The organization matches isolated, homebound adults with local, compassionate volunteers who help them with services such as grocery shopping, drive them to medical appointments, minor home repairs and even provide friendly visits. The orientation is free and volunteers can choose when and where they’d like to serve. It’s flexible and fun! To attend the orientation, please RSVP to [email protected]z.org. Congregational Health Program Development In Faith Communities
At these info sessions you will learn about faith community nurses and their role in the congregation. April Polley, BSN, RN, MBA, Duet’s Dir. of Congregational Health Services, as well as active Valley faith community nurses, will share the value of faith community nurses in a congregational health program; how faith community nurses work in partnership with other health and wellness programs in the congregation; and recommendations for beginning a congregational health program.
