A valley homeowner got a rude surprise on Sunday afternoon when a car careened into the side of their garage.

Phoenix police are searching for the driver, who took off after the crash. Phoenix fire officials say the vehicle briefly caught fire after hitting the garage located by 19th Avenue and Cactus Road.

The driver fled the scene, leaving behind her belongings and identification cards.
