On Monday evening, join the ASU Community and local art enthusiasts for the third edition of Crossfade LAB, an intimate evening event that will feature the voices of Grammy award-winning Mexican musician Julieta VenegasĀ and acclaimed Los Angeles artist Rafa Esparza.
The intimate, experimental conversation will be moderated by 2016 MacArthur Fellow Josh Kun and include both musical performances and a discussion that explores themes present in both of the artists’ works. These themes will include memory and masks, love and land, and the numerous ways in which songs and art can help our bodies and spritis make sense of and survive history.
Crossfade LAB is organized with generous support from the Diane & Bruce Halle Foundation and in collaboration with CALA Alliance, Crescent Ballroom and ASU Art Museum.
Monday’s show will be held at the Crescent Ballroom and will begin at 7 pm, ending at 9 pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here.
