Diamond Valley Road Improvements Coming Soon
Yavapai County Board of Supervisor Jack Smith recently announced plans for more road and street improvements in Diamond Valley.
The road works are part of the spring 2018 Yavapai County Overlay Project. Crews from theĀ Yavapai County Public Works Department will oversee the addition of an asphalt concrete overlay on Ramada Drive. This is a busy roadway in the community of Diamond Valley, and improvements are welcomed by many residents.
The work will include:
  • adding a 2-inch thick pavement overlay over the existing Ramada Drive pavement limits between Highway 69 and Lisa Drive
  • shouldering the pavement at the edges of the fresh overlay
  • Matching the roadway surface at all existing driveways and intersections
  • restriping all pavement

Crews will be working on 4,776 linear feet of roadways, and this project is funded by Yavapai County’s Highway User Revenue Funds (HURF) that are generated from taxes collected on fuel purchases.

The project contract awarded by the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors last month, will also include similar plans for improving three more roadways. Work is anticipated to continue through part of June.
