Tucson, Arizona: – Still day dreaming about those Parisian crepes you ate last summer while frolicking through Europe? Have you been disappointed about the lack of French foods around the Tucson area? Well look no further than Café Marcel, a French creperie and espresso bar in Tucson. This scrumptious, family owned restaurant is located on the corner of Oracle and Grant and is whipping up some mouthwatering and flavorful crepes for their customers.
Café Marcel has been satisfying crepe cravings in Tucson for 5 years now and is a great place for a fun family outing or to catch up on some work. Offering wifi and many delicious coffee choices, there is no saying when you will be leaving, especially after indulging in one of their sweet crepes.
During my adventure to the café, I went with two friends, one who had never tried a crepe before. After looking over the numerous and mouthwatering options to choose from, we all ordered different savory crepes. We were not disappointed. A recommendation: if trying a savory crepe for the first time or if you’re a little picky in the food department, try the Roasted Chicken, Pesto, Tomatoes & Spinach (full $8.95 – half $5.78). This crepe was great, especially for a first timer! And if you are craving a breakfast-style crepe I recommend adding an egg to any of their savory menu items.
After leaving no trace behind of the savory crepes, we decided that we needed to finish off with a sweet one. With the menu having so many appealing options to choose from, we finally settled on the Nutella & Strawberries & Banana full ($7.00-half $4.50), and wow, was it not a disappointment!
One of the many things I enjoyed about this establishment is the price range of their food along with the option of sizes for your orders. Being able to have either a half or full order allows you to try all the many options as opposed to sticking to just one. I will definitely be coming here again very soon, with the fabulous food, delicious coffee and friendly owners; it is definitely not a place to miss!
