This weekend, a young boy gone too soon will be remembered by his community.
The public is invited to come together for a vigil for ten-year-old Christian Pearson on Saturday evening, June 17.
Christian passed away Sunday night, and he will be remembered at the vigil, planned for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Memory Park at Palomino Road and N. Road 1 West.
According to city officials, a large turnout is expected, meaning more traffic and pedestrians. Attendees should plan accordingly and leave their homes early.
Christian passed away this past Sunday after suffering severe injuries. His mother and her boyfriend are being held in connection with this tragedy. The couple were hosting a yard sale at their home on Thursday, June 8, on the day that Christian was discovered with his critical injuries.
