The U.S. Department of Education named Jack Barnes Elementary a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School. Schools are nominated by the state department of education and then complete a comprehensive application about school practices. Jack Barnes Elementary was nominated for being ‘Exemplary High Performing’, meaning the test scores at Jack Barnes were among the highest in our state. Only three other Arizona schools received this distinction in 2016.
