City Manager Recognized as Community Hero

A City of Flagstaff staff member was recently honored as a 2017 Community Hero.

The International City/County Management Association named Flagstaff City Manager Josh Copley with the honor. He has been serving the city of Flagstaff since 1985 when he was first hired as a Police Officer.

The organization launched Community Heroes last year in order to highlight staff members who go above and beyond in their roles to improve the quality of life in cities, towns and counties across the nation and world.

Last November, managers delivered descriptions of their star performers in areas including public works and parks and rec.

Coconino County nominated Copley, and he was selected as one of the top ten winners.
