The Chris Bianco Group, which includes nationally renowned restaurants Pizzeria Bianco, Pane Bianco, Bar Bianco and Tratto, signed the UNITY Pledge in support of full inclusion and equality in employment, housing, and public accommodations for all Arizonans, including gay and transgender people. Bianco joins over 2,200 businesses and organizations including My Local News – AZ, GoDaddy, Yelp, American Airlines, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Professional Firefighters of Arizona, PetSmart, and Coca-Cola in supporting a fully inclusive Arizona. Currently, only five Arizona cities have ordinances that ban discrimination; however, Arizona has no statewide laws that protect people from being fired based on their sexual orientation or gender identity, or discriminated against in housing and public accommodations.
“We proudly serve all customers who come through our doors regardless of who they are or who they love,” said Chris Bianco of the Chris Bianco Group. “Signing the UNITY Pledge ensures that making people that come to our restaurants are welcome and feel welcome is as paramount as the food we put on the tables. Equal treatment is not only the right thing to do, but it is also key to building strong, vibrant communities across our state,” concluded Bianco.
