To kick off April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Coconino Coalition for Children & Youth will present the 2017 Annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference and Luncheon. The event, titled “Strengthening Ourselves, Families and Communities,” will be held at Little America on Thursday, March 30, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The luncheon will include presentations and discussions, and Claire Louge, of Prevent Abuse Arizona, will be the keynote speaker at the event. She will speak about “Resilience in Rupture, Strength in Stress.”
Guests will attend multiple breakout sessions during the afternoon, with choices covering topics in treatment for foster children, childhood sexual abuse prevention, drug abuse prevention and education.
During the luncheon, five Coconino County community members will be presented with awards for their exceptional support and care toward children and youth. For more information, visit coconinokids.org or call 928-679-7318.
