One of the valley’s most popular bookstores is hosting a unique community storytelling event. This Friday, May 19, join fellow Phoenicians and others at The Storyline, a Phoenix storytelling collective, as they present Unpacking at Changing Hands Bookstore.
Enjoy an evening of first-person storytelling hosted by Rachel Eseoghene Egboro at Changing Hands’ Phoenix location. Storytellers include Dan Hoen Hull, Anastasia Murae Freyermuth, Sativa Peterson, Charlie Steak and the Hip Historian Marshall Shore. Rumor has it he may literally unpack some of his famous vintage suitcases.
The Storyline was established in 2013 with the mission of building community through shared experience. Each show is curated and directed by Storyline’s creators, Rachel Egboro and Dan Hull. Before the show, storytellers attend two workshops and receive additional coaching if necessary or desired.
The event will begin at 8 p.m. and last for two hours. Tickets are available online on the Changing Hands website. The bookstore is located at 300 W. Camelback Phoenix, Arizona 85013.
