
Science converges in Downtown Chandler in a Saturday extravaganza, featuring interactive demonstrations and activities by Chandler’s technology companies along with next generation of science from ASU, UofA and TechShop Chandler for the most inventive student STEM projects.
Chandler’s annual Science Saturday will take place in Downtown Chandler February 18, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event highlights include: Crime Scene & Fingerprinting: City of Chandler Police Department. Solve the mystery at this interactive mock crime scene, or learn how to read fingerprints when they are left as clues. Rocket Launch: Orbital ATK.
See how Orbital ATK puts rockets into space with this hands on rocket-launching demonstration. Foam Block Building: The Arizona Science Center & First Things First. Families can use giant foam blocks of all shapes to build a design they create. Game Truck Spaceship: Game Truck * Available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Travel through the solar system with game truck spaceship Technology & the Library: Downtown Chandler Library. Learn to use Zinio, featuring more than 500 multi-language magazines, along with library iPads and eReaders to access eBooks, databases, Freegal, and BookMyne. Chandler Gilbert Community College – Students will erect a single-phase power line, including power poles, cable, transformer and secondary cable to demonstrate how line workers do their job and how a power line is constructed.
