The Chandler Police Department is proud to announce that they are now participating in the Police Foundation’s Police Data Initiative.
According to an official department press release, The Police Data Initiative promotes and encourages the use of open data to facilitate cooperation and “joint problem solving, innovation, enhanced understanding, and accountability between communities and the law enforcement agencies that serve them.”
The press release also explains how residents can access these resources: “Through the Police Data Initiative, the general public can now readily access open data information generated by the Chandler Police Department. The Department provides interactive visualization tools and maps, reference documentation, data download ability, and an Application Programming Interface (API) for advanced users. The accessible open data includes calls for service, closed general offense reports, use of force, and arrest/ booking reports.”
