Join the ASU community for the closing reception of Flowing Beyond Heaven and Earth on Thursday, May 25.
From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., the exhibition will be celebrated for it’s incredible representation of some of the most acclaimed Chinese ceramic artists and the astounding traditions that date back thousands of years.
Guests will see the purest porcelains of Jingdezhen in Southern China and the exquisite teapots of Yixing, along with much more, in an exhibit that reflects a combination of ancient traditions and contemporary art.
The exhibition is not the only recipient of honor at the reception. ASU Art Museum Ceramics Research Center will also honor Sid Cohen, a valued volunteer who has spent ten years there. On Thursday, the exhibition will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the final day for viewing will be Saturday, May 27, also from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
