Celebrating New Year’s in Tempe? Ride, Walk or Bike!

(Tempe, Arizona) – Tempe will make it easy for people to get to New Year’s Eve festivities, including Tempe’s Mill Avenue destinations on Dec. 31.

Coors Light Free Rides® is sponsoring free rides on the bus, light rail and ADA Dial-A-Ride beginning at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31 through the end of the service day. Before 7 p.m., the cost is $2 for one ride on bus or rail.

Below, residents can find the most effective route to join the celebrations on New Year’s Eve using Tempe’s light rail, bus and parking options, while keeping in mind certain detours and street closures.

Those traveling near or far can park at one of the designated Valley Metro Rail light rail park-and-ride locations and ride the train to the event. Party-goers should exit the Mill Ave/3rd St station to access the event. For any changes, check www.valleymetro.org, or call 602-253-5000 for hours and frequencies.
