
On Saturday, March 18th, The Burton Barr Central Library will host “The Right Plant in the Right Place: Learn Design Elements to Plan a Beautiful Xeriscape Yard.“
This educational, community event will take start at 9:30 am and end at 10:30 am, and attendees will meet in the lecture room on the fourth floor.
Passionate planters will discuss how important choosing the right plants for the right place is, and how careful selection of plants and flowers can ensure the creation of a beautiful landscape. They will also discuss how planters can reduce water use and manual labor while increasing the beauty and productivity of their gardens and yards.
This workshop will provide an overview of the Seven Principles of Xeriscape and a lesson on designing a desert landscape. Each participants will receive a copy of “Xeriscape: Landscaping with Style in the Arizona Desert.” This workshop is in partnership between Phoenix Public Library and Keep Phoenix Beautiful.
