Join Tempe History Museum and local author Stephanie deLusé for a fun gathering to celebrate the publication of Legendary Locals of Tempe, a book that shines a light on the contributions of select people, organizations and businesses that are part of making Tempe a wonderful place to live, work and play. The book features information and over 200 photographs that come from a community that cares about remembering its humble roots and celebrating its proud achievements. The images honor some of the sung and unsung local heroes who helped make Tempe the textured and vibrant place that it continues to be. Stephanie R. deLusé, PhD, a Phoenix native and longtime Tempe resident, also co-authored Arcadia’s Arizona State University, about an institution from which she graduated and where she is an award-winning teacher in Barrett, the Honors College. Meet the author and some of the “Legendary Locals” featured in the book on Wednesday, March 23 at Tempe History Museum. This is a free, drop-in event with door prizes, light refreshments, brief remarks and opportunities to discover more about this great community!
