The Tucson branch of a nationwide organization is dedicated to helping solve childhood hunger, and they need your help!
Approximately 16.2 million children in the United States suffer from hunger, an issue that can have a significant impact on their childhoods and their future. Poor nutrition and lack of access to healthy food can lead to low academic concentration and performance, weakened immune systems and health, and increase hospitalization.
In an effort to make a difference in the lives of hungry children, Blessings in a Backpack strives to encourage positive change. Their motto is “Feeding the Future of America,” and the organization provides free meals to elementary-aged children from low-income families throughout the country.
Join the Tucson branch in it’s efforts to make a difference in the lives of hungry, low-income children and students throughout Southern Arizona. For more information on “adopting” a Tucson-area child to support through monetary donations, please visit the official website.
