Tempe, Arizona: Members of the community will be volunteer bartenders at the 48th Annual Fall Tempe Festival of the Arts three Beer & Wine Gardens with 100% of the tips collected by volunteers will be donated to the Tempe Mission, an ongoing campaign to help Tempe’s homeless population.
Stephanie Nowack, President/CEO of the Tempe Tourism Office, said “My goal is to raise the most tips during my shift at the arts festival. Please stop by, say hello and donate what you can to the tip jar so I can help this great cause. I’ll see you there!” Stephanie, along with many other members of the community, will be bartending all weekend long, as the Tempe Festival of the Arts takes place December 2-4, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.
In the past, the festival had the “Arizona Wine Festival” and the “Art of Beer” within the festival footprint. If you attended in the past, you saw the beer and wine garden bursting at the seams. To accommodate those wanting to enjoy a glass of wine or sip on a local brew, DTA has essentially tripled the locations that are now simply considered Beer and Wine Gardens. The 3 Beer & Wine Gardens will feature a combination of beer and wine offerings in partnership with Tempe-based Four Peaks Brewery and Pedal Haus Brewery as well as Gordon Biersch Brewing Company. Bonus: these Beer + Wine Gardens are situated perfectly with the three stages!
Festival goers are also encouraged to donate to the nine Mission Meters scattered throughout Downtown Tempe during the course of the three-day festival weekend.
