On Tuesday, March 21st, international author Amitav Ghosh will present “War, Race and Empire in the Anthropocene: Some Occluded Aspects of Climate Change.”
This free event is open to students and the public, and people are encouraged to attend this enlightening conversation on the very real problem of climate change and environmental concerns.
Amitav Ghosh, recognized for his novel on climate change and the unthinkable titled The Great Derangement, will speak on Western imperialism as a driving force behind climate change. He will also address sustainability, capitalism, renewable energies and carbon taxes, and the role all of these things play in our future.
The event begins at 7 pm and will be held at the Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281).
