August is Brake Safety Awareness Month.. How Are Your Brakes Doing?

Everybody is talking about gas and fuel efficiency these days, but this August we’re talking about Brake Safety Awareness. Keeping your car in good shape can prevent crashes and protect your investment, and brakes are one of the most important systems in a vehicle. We’re encouraging consumers to learn the importance of a safe brake system and urging them to pull into a NARPRO participating facility to get their brakes checked during Brake Safety Awareness Month.

Throughout this event, the nation’s leading consumer auto service non-profit organization the Motorist Assurance Program encourages you to ensure that your vehicle’s braking and other undercar systems are working properly before heading into the fall and winter driving seasons.

Red Means Stop Traffic Safety Alliance understands the value and importance of educating all individuals about safe driving skills. To meet our goal of ending red light running, we actively participate and plan events to educate drivers. We published a book called “Carelessness is No Accident: Consequences, Victims, No Closure” which is available www.farabeepublishing.com.

We have a mascot named Stoppy the Red Light who goes to schools and events. He has a new book series “The Adventures of Stoppy the Red Light” http://redmeansstop.org/what-we-do/stoppy-the-red-light/

NARPRO (Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals): The Neighborhood Auto Repair Professionals (NARPRO) helps car owners find skilled and honest car repair shops. NARPRO only recommends independent, family owned, full-service auto repair shops that have passed 26 rigorous tests. Visit www.NARPRO.com  to find recommended shops near work or home. NARPRO is the easiest way to find an honest mechanic in the Valley.

This August during National Brake Safety Awareness month, NARPRO shops are offering a FREE brake inspection (up to $50.00 value) or a FREE second opinion (priceless).
Need Brakes? Receive $25 off your service plus NARPRO will donate an additional $25 for each brake repair to Red Means Stop
