Sun Devils who are looking for a summer job are encouraged to consider the ASU America Reads program.
The program matches children from low-income communities with an ASU student as their tutor and mentor, making a world of difference for these young, impressionable kids.
This unique form of community engagement allows for ASU students to give back to children around the valley and encourage them to reach for the stars and a brighter future. Sun Devils can earn more than $1000 this summer if they are hired for the program.
The program has been bringing positive change to the community for more than fifteen years. During the 2015-2016 school year, 387 students participated in the program, accounting for 41,634 service hours provided to the community.
Undergraduate and Graduate students who have been awarded Federal Work Study Funds may apply for a paid position with the program and earn $10 per hour.
