Workout Equipment Added In Menlo Park
Want to get your workout on? You’re in luck- thanks to the City of Tucson and Pima County, which teamed up to add new exercise stations to Menlo Park.
Now, residents and visitors alike who head to the beautiful historic neighborhood will enjoy this new workout equipment.
The four outdoor exercise stations are located at 325 N. Grande Ave. and were selected by the Menlo Park Neighborhood Association. The stations can be used to workout the upper body, legs and abdomen. The upper-body stations are designed for use by those in wheelchairs and are positioned on a concrete slab with a fabric shade.

Funding for the equipment was made possible by the voter-approved Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment, which provided $55,000. A Cigna Foundation grant of $12,300 and dedicated park funding of $14,000 from the city also supported the project.

This past Saturday, the local community gathered for a dedication ceremony. Neighborhood representatives were joined by Ward 1 Councilwoman Regina Romero and Pima County Supervisor Richard Elias.
